Erica Synths Labor Basic Kit Overview
Get started in circuit design with the Erica Synths EDU DIY Labor Basic Electronics Workstation. Developed in coordination with Dr. Shalom D. Ruben, a teaching faculty member at the University of Colorado, Labor is a full-featured circuit-design laboratory and powerful electronics learning tool.
Designed as a universal platform for electronics education, Labor enables users to explore a wide range of projects, from fundamental concepts to advanced design techniques. Build your own envelopes, filters, oscillators, sequencers?or anything else imaginable.
Erica Synths' series of educational DIY kits provide guided builds towards specific modular rack components that complement any Eurorack setup. The EDU DIY Labor Basic Kit includes the Labor unit itself, a power supply (wall wart), jumper cables, and a selection of interfacing elements including potentiometers, jack sockets, and switches.
- Built-in dual power supply with Eurorack-compatible voltages and overcurrent (short-circuit) protection
- Modular interfacing section with 16 slots for pots, jacks, and switches
- Pulse/triangle/sine oscillators (audio and LFO range)
- Multimode envelope generator controlled by push button
- Buffered variable control voltage source
- Output amplifier with adjustable gain
- Dedicated headphone and line-level outputs for recording, processing, and analysis
- Expansion slot for installing specialized prototyping tools (e.g. Labor Scope)
- Protective lid to cover breadboard and preserve circuit
