Vallerret Milford Overview
With Polartec wind-stopping blocking the chill and rain covers stashed in small pockets, these small Milford Fleece Gloves from Vallerret allow outdoor adventure photographers to operate comfortably in mild winter conditions, even when the weather doesn't cooperate. FlipTech finger caps on the thumb, index, and middle fingers can be folded back to enable optimal dexterity when accessing the camera controls. The thumb and index finger have conductive material for using touchscreens.

the openings for the fingers are way too tight, omce open they cut the circulation especially the one for the thumb. In addition the cut is very odd and there is a lot of fabric on the palm that make it difficult to hold the camera
Winter Photography Gloves for small hands
I have been shopping for dedicated photography gloves and decided on the Vallerret Milford Fleece Gloves that also have a rain cover. And, they were available in small size. I have long fingers so women's gloves are often too short and its difficult to find small in men's or unisex. When I saw these I jumped on the opportunity. Concerns I had with buying dedicated photography gloves included touchscreen sensitivity, overall bulkiness, and fear of dropping the camera. The rain cover is a bonus. There isn't a lot of rain where I live in SE Arizona, however when it rains, having a cover for the gloves is a nice option. The gloves arrived a couple of days ahead of a winter storm. I set out for some moody skies and hopefully a rainbow, (score for both!) all decked out in rain kit and my new gloves. These gloves were champs! I tried pulling the finger and thumb covers back just to do it, but truly didn't need to since I could feel the controls and manipulate them and the touch screen with gloves on. I did need to pull the finger covers back to change filters since there is a bit too much bulk. Rain covers worked great hiking back to the truck I stayed dry. Rain covers are not touch screen friendly, but I didn't expect them to be. (If I'm shooting photos or video in a downpour I have a rain cover over my camera and my hands fit inside of that). Overall opinion: love them. Perfect for moderate climates. Typical winter temps are from upper 20s F at the coldest to average in the 40s F. For colder climates these may not be enough. For heavy rain the covers may not be enough. These will make sitting in a bird/wildlife blind and astro photography much more comfortable. Little buckle to keep them together is a nice touch. Fit is perfect. I love the silicon patch on the palm. That along with the touch screen friendly finger tips on first and thumb of both hands I never felt like I was scared I'd drop my camera. They appear to be well made and should last several winters. Touch screen worked like a champ on smartphone, GoPro, and Nikon D7500. Highly recommend.
