The SN74HC594DR is a 8-bit Shift Register with output register that feeds an 8-bit D-type storage register. Separate clocks and direct overriding clear inputs are provided on both the shift and storage registers. A serial output is provided for cascading purposes. The shift register clocks are positive edge triggered and shift register always is one count pulse ahead of the storage register. The parallel outputs have high-current capability.

  • High-current 3-state non-inverting outputs drive bus lines directly or up to 15 LSTTL loads
  • Low power consumption
  • 15ns Typical TPD
  • ±6mA Output drive at 5V
  • Independent direct overriding clears on shift registers
